The shop
Under the old sign, opposite The Boleyn.
The hand-painted-style fascia — "DANNY'S BARBER" in vintage red — marks a straightforward, hard-working salon: a long cream-tiled floor, chrome-and-leather chairs, strip lights, and the whole front in glass.
Through that glass you look straight at The Boleyn, the big red-brick pub across Barking Road — as much a landmark for finding the shop as the sign itself.
