Number 1 Barber
"London's Number 1 Barber", per its own gold window script — a tattoo-wallpaper room with crystal chandeliers, directly opposite Kilburn High Road station. Reviewers are split, and this page shows both sides.
The rating, straight
👍 The five-star side — 81 reviews
Good prices, friendly barbers, short waiting times and good fades. Moh is named with praise — "did an excellent job". Review topics back it up: fading (5), skilled staff and attention to detail (3 each).
👎 The one-star side — 29 reviews
Botched or uneven fades, inexperienced young staff, cleanliness and hygiene concerns — and one reviewer says they were charged £30, above even the board's top price. Know before you go: chair choice seems to matter here.
The room
Whatever the reviews argue about, the room itself is unmistakable: full-height tattoo-flash wallpaper (razors, dice, bearded portraits), crystal chandeliers, a guitar mounted on the wall, barber poles glowing in lanterns, and "NUMBER" picked out in gold on the mirrors.
